Hi Guys,  new to the forum here, nice to meet you all.

I recently got my Sony X10 after a fair bit of research, and one of the key feature I need is wifi tethering.

I read that the x10 was tested to be working with Barnacle, so I went with the X10.  It took me a while to get the phone rooted, so I was excited to test out Barnacle WiFi Tether.

However I have been getting errors...

I have tried both Barnacle Wifi Tether and Barnacle Wifi Legacy, they
come up with different errors.

Tether:
"Parameter brncl_if_lan is unset"
"Stopped unexpectedly"

Legacy:
"Could not find Wireless interface!"
"Process stopped unexpectedly"

I have a rooted Sony X10 phone (one of the tested phone), running
Firmware version 1.6, kernel 2.6.29-rel Build # R2BA024.

Can anyone help?

heard back from the developer,

According to this: http://wiki.github.com/szym/barnacle/
you need to set the LAN interface name to athwlan0

That got me another step closer...  but still can't connect.

Got the IP address, and can ping from my laptop, but still can't get online...

Try with setting the channel to 11.
